It is not after giving two successful movies that you think of doing conventional cinema. In fact, it is just the opposite of what one would like to do but sometimes life has different plans in store for you. Mahie Gill has done something similar to this in her career. She started by giving spectacular performances in movies like Dev D and Gulaal. The character she played in Gulaal though small is closer to her heart as she wanted to play characters that have been done by her idol Tabu.

Mahie has now signed on a few interesting projects like Aage Se Right and Paan Singh Tomar. Both the movies will be made by UTV, as have been her earlier movies. In Aage Se Right, she will be playing a reporter. The movie is a comedy. All the fun begins when police officer loses his gun. The gun passes the hands of different people bringing out the fun in how they handle the situations. The movie seems to bring out the human emotion.

In Paan Singh Tomar, she will be sharing the screen space with very talented Irfan Khan. Irfan plays the character of an athlete who has to hang to his boots and turn into a rebel. The story is taken from a real life incident. Irfan undergoes a dramatic change, turns violent, and nearly destroys the Chambal valley. In the movie, she will be seen in a completely non-glamorous avatar.

Except for the movie Aage Se Right, she has not shown her glam side as of now but she is open to the idea of conventional cinema. She says that there will be no problems in making a shift as she has done many Punjabi films that require you to be glam and there is a lot of dancing around the trees over there.
