Bollywood family drama movie, Main Sunder Hoon, directed by R. Krishan and S. Panju was released in the year 1971. The movie starred Biswajeet and Leena Chandravarkar in lead roles while Sulochana Latkar, Mehmood, C. S. Dubet, David Abraham, Aruna Irani, Mukri, S. L. Narayan and Jayshree T. also played important characters in the film. The hit melodious music of the movie was directed by the well known veteran music director duo Shankar Jaikishen while the songs were beautifully rendered by Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle etc.

The movie starts with a guy named Sunder ( Mehmood ), who looks just opposite to his name. He is lain looking guy with toothed bucked. He works as a waiter in a five star hotel. He come across a beautiful girl named Radha ( Leena Chandravarkar ), who is the daughter of the hotel owner. Sunder falls in love with her at first sight. He meets with her and she also responds well to him. Sunder assumes that she also likes him and builds a palace of dreams. But still he lacks courage to express his felling to her.

Meanwhile, Sunder’s best friend named Amar ( Biswajeet ) returns from abroad. Amar arrives in India to make a career in bollywood industry as a mainstream hero. Amar and Sunder collectively tries in bollywood industry and soon Sunder becomes famous a comedian as well as singer. He then gets enough courage to express his love to Radha. But he get shocked to reveal that Radha is actually in love with none other than his close friend, Amar. What he will do now?
