Mani Ratnam is very busy these days with the shoot of his movie Raavan. The movie stars Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles. The movie will also see Govinda and Nikhil Diwedi portraying important characters. Mani is trying his level best to keep the comparison form being made with the epic Ramayana. He does not want to wake up the moral police and does not intend to wish the religious sentiments of the audiences.

Abhishek is playing the Raavan whereas Aish is playing Sita. Abhi abducts Sita when Sita’s husband humiliates his sister. He takes her into a forest with him. Over there the two develop a feeling for each other. There was supposed to be a romantic track and an intimate scene present over here but Mani decided to do away with the scene as the movie could have landed in trouble because of that.

He can avoid as much as he can but there are going to be parallel drawn and if anything like the above scene is shown, the movie is destined to bite the dust. Besides that, the controversy will be of a huge magnitude. It might be good if Mani tries to keep the same plot and stay away from making changes. We hope he makes a nice movie without making anyone unhappy.

There was also a lot of trouble during the shoot that was taking place at a railway station in Kolkata. A huge crowd had gathered to catch a glimpse of their stars and the shooting could only be done in late night or in the wee hours of the morning.
