Not many might know the director Prakash Jha has turned politician and will be contesting elections for a seat in Bihar these years. His movies have always been about showing Bihar as a failed state whether it was Gangaajal or Apaharan. He has been all this time working for the development of Bihar at the grass root level. Having the tag of a parliamentarian will make easy for him to speed up the development process as things get to be done quickly.

All the parties would like to have with them person with so much support but apparently close friend Nitish Kumar turned him down so he has to form an alliance with Ram Vilas Paswan. He is satisfied with the ideologies of Paswan. He added that Bihar had seen little or no development on the security and economical front and that the people felt let down.

He says that there are no hard feelings between him and Lalu Yadav. The image of Sadhu Yadav took a battering when he used his name as that of a villain in his movie Gangaajal. He was also quick to clarify that it was not because of his movie that Lalu lost the elections and his control in Bihar. He might bounce back this time around especially after the good work he put in as a railway minister.

His next movie apparently titled Rajneeti is all about politics and the rise and fall of a government. The movie came in news after it was reported that Katrina Kaif was playing the role of Congress president Sonia Gandhi but Prakash Jha claims that all the reports were false .The release of the movie might gain some mileage, as he will be fighting elections around the same time.
