Minisha Lamba who made her debut with the girl next-door image broke the shackles with her movie Kidnap and the photo shoot that she did for Maxim. She just blew her earlier image out of the minds and replaced it with this hot chic image. From doing movies like Shaurya and Bachna Ae Haseeno, she has come of age now and has found her footing in the industry.

She has recently finished the schedule of Abba Ka Kuan that is being directed by the ace director Shyam Benegal. She says that it is an experience of a lifetime to work with a veteran director like him so early in your career. The movie was shot in the city of Hyderabad with a start to finish schedule of 45 days under the scorching heat of 45 degrees. It was difficult to keep away from the mouth-watering biryani and keep to simple rice and curs. However, the food was effective in keeping the temperatures down.

The comfort level with Boman Irani who is playing her Abu in the movie was great and they were so much into the character that they would call each by the name of their characters even after the shoot was over. She also played squash which is also her favorite sport in the time when there was nothing to do. She said that it felt great to improve on the game further also it helps to keep you fit.

She has not set high expectations from the movie, as you do not know what the response of the audiences is going to be to the movie. What she is an actress tries is to improve with each role she plays and give it her best. Rest is for the audiences to decide and so far, audiences have shown her thumbs up.
