Minnisha Lamba has been slowly but steadily climbing the ladder ever since she made her debut with the movie Yahaan. Since then she has improved movie by movie giving some nice performances in movies like Shaurya, Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd, Kidnap, Bachna Ae Haseeno and Anthony Kaun Hai? Shyam Benegal who is directing her in her next movie Well Done Abba is confident that with this movie Minisha will stamp her authority.

He is of the view that she is exceptionally talented and gifted but until date, she has not received her due for the kind of work she has done but all that will hopefully change with the release of her next movie. The movie Well Done Abba is a story of a man Armaan Ali played by Boman Irani who is a taxi driver by profession in the city of Mumbai.

He takes leave from work for some time to find a groom for her daughter to marry her. The movies runs in flash bask as Armaan provided his employer with the reason as to why it took him three months to get back to work. His employer wants to sack him but he has reasons to give. Ila Arun, Sonali Kulkarni, and Rajat Kapur also play pivotal roles in the movie.

The plot of the movie has been adapted by merging two short stories namely Narsaiyyan Ki Bavdi by Jeelani Bano and Phulwa Ka Pul by Sanjeev. The movie was recently screens at the Montreal Film Festival and is not getting ready for a screening at the London Film Festival. Being a Shyam Benegal movie, it will be a highly anticipated release when the movie releases in India.
