More money being pumped into the trailers

Gone are the times when the movie used to celebrate its golden jubilee or a silver jubilee now surviving for even one-week looks like eternity. With the number of shows and the number of multiplexes there are some movies feeling the heat more than others are. With so many movies releasing every Friday there is stiff competition and usually some movie gets bad reviews and then it is all downhill from there on.

The moviemakers are pumping a lot of money into the marketing of a movie. Showing the audiences the trailer has also now become a special art. Now it is not like the old times when some part of the movies was shown. It is the trailers that help the audiences make up their mind about what they will be watching next.

Nabeel Abbas who has been making the trailers for most of Aamir Khan’s movie says that the trailer needs to have a feel of the plot. It should give the audience a glimpse of what to expect and it should not be made with the intention of fooling them. A trailer also tells the audience what the pace of the movie is going to be like. With nearly a million rupees being spend on making a trailer for movies like Ghajini it has now become mandatory to hire professional people.

The director though still remains a very important part on what should be shown in the trailer, as he knows what he wants to convey to the audiences with the trailer. The people who are in the industry are not complaining about the boom. The number of movies they used to publicize has gone up from 15 to 50.A moviegoer will surely find it a bit easy to decide what he wants to see with all the information.
