Nanhe Jaiselmer is one movie which has caught on kids’ imagination like nothing else, because after a long time here comes a completely commercial movie aimed at kids. The movie also stars Bobby Deol as himself! The movie though, comes close on the heels of critically acclaimed Pankaj Kapoor starrer children’s movie The Blue Umbrella which was directed by the very talented Vishal Bhardwaj. And that’s why it will be all the more important for the movie to prove itself.

The film is the story of a young boy hailing from Jaiselmer, the beautiful town in Rajasthan, and his name is Nanhe. Nanhe can speak four foreign languages, even though he is an ‘angootha chaap’! At the tender age of ten, he is the sole breadwinner of his family. He might be living in a desert, but his dreams are all green with his colourful imagination. And what sets him apart from other boys is that his dreams are strong, and do not change from time to time.

But amongst all his dreams, he has one dream which he never lets go of. The only dream which gives him enough hope to move on in his life,despite of it’s difficulties. And, this dream is to meet his best friend, actor Bobby Deol. He even makes it a point that his sister writes a poem to him everyday, sharing with him every tiny aspect of his life, everything from his acheivements to his hardships. He watches each and every movie of his friend, and like an ardent fan keeps pictures of his freind. Every second of his life is dedicated to his friend. And finally, one day, his dreams come true, when he comes to meet his friend and then his life changes forever.
