Even before his debut film release, Nikhil Dwivedi was being treated as a great star and signed three films. It was expected that after the release of his debut film My Name Is Anthony Gonsalvis, he will become a superstar. Shahrukh Khan aka King Khan was the person behind Nikhil’s arrival in bollywood.

Once during an Ad shoot, Shahrukh met Nikhil, an employee of that office and in his first sight he asked Nikhil to become an actor. According to Shahrukh, Nikhil has all the qualities for becoming a hero of bollywood. But now after the release of My Name Is Anthony Gonsalvis, questions are being arised by audience on Shahrukh’s point of view.

Talking about movie, the story revolves around Anthony( Nikhil Dwivedi), an ordinary guy and his dream to become a superstar. Anthony Gonsalves is working as a bartender in Jimmy’s pub in Bandra. He was an orphan, when he was young both his mother and father died. After that Sikander took him to the orphanage and hands him over to Father Briganza( Mithun Chakraborty). For Sikander, Anthony is like his little brother and for Anthony, Sikander is like his God.

Later Anthony finds Moorthy, who frequents the pub regularly. Moorthy helps Anthony with his photo shoot, places to go, people to meet and that makes Anthony believe that it’s possible to have his dream come true. He meets a girl named Riya (Amrita Rao) at cemetery, while cutting the creepers and fall in love with her. One day Anthony rushes to Sikander Bhai’s bungalow to give him a good news. But when he reaches there, he inadvertently becomes the witness of a crime committed by the gang.

Inspector khan who gets to know about Anthony being a witness to the crime starts to pursue Anthony. The gang suspects Anthony of having squealed on them, much to Sikander’s disbelief. And from here on movie goes on a cat-mouse runs track. The movie is basically about the relationship between two characters Anthony and Sikander Bhai.

The movie contains all the masal elements like love, career, truth, friendship but still unable to make an edge over audience. Nikhil Dwivedi is a big flop in the movie with Amrita rao only used as a showpiece. Mithun is looking good in the film and also the only one who seems to perform upto his potential.

The movie don‘t deserved to be appreciated by audience at all. The movie is boring enough to make you sleep in the theater. If anyone still goes to see the movie than it would be nothing but a total loss of money.
