Music review of Bollywood movie Aggar

So here come the music review of Aggar. Music director Mithoon seems to have done a good job once again with this album. The album starts off with a fast paced thriller of a song, ‘aggar’ sung beautifully by Hamza and Tulsi Kumar. The lyrics aren’t too confusing and the song wraps up quite fast. Seems like this one was done for the credits though.

The next track promises to be the most beautifully done in the whole album. Mithoon has done complete justice to ‘ke bin tere jeena nahi’, though you would be forgiven for thinking that Atif Aslam is behind the vocals. The lyrics are great, touching many facets of separation. ’Main hun shaakh se ab koi pattaa toota hua/ mujhko ye hawayein udaati phire har jagah…’ go its lyrics, and seems like the song will be another one of those great ‘depressing’ hits.

The next song ‘nachle’ has been sung by Rup and Qurram, and lends some zing to the album. The beats are good, and aptly suitable lyrics add a free will kinda feel to the dance number. The instruments used keep up the excitement, so does the changing rhythm along with the lyrics which express some great feelings.

Paas aaya kyun’ begins with some great music and is another song aimed more at broken hearts. The varying tones used in the vocals done by Mithoon and Sharmishtha, add a different touch to the song and the lyrics are once again quite well done. ‘aaya apne beech mein kisika saayan kyun/ jab rulana hi tha tujhe to phir hassaya kyun/ saath reh kar bhi hai juda to paas aaya kyun’ go some of the lines from this song.
And finally you have none other than Roop Kumar Rathod doing a slow simmering number ‘sehra’ where lyricist Sayeed Qadri has soulfully expressed the desires of a lover in the awaiting. The singer lends a completely fresh facet to the album. Though you might argue that you are reminded of the music of ‘The Train’, but this is one album which will not fade out too soon. And that’s not all you have the remixes of ‘nachle’ and ‘ke bin tere’, which we leave for you to try and leave your comments on them below. Happy listening!!
