Nagesh Kukunoor is once again in the news for his forthecoming film named Bombay To Bankok after his last venture Dor. His earlier film’s music album like Hyderabad Blues and Iqbal were consists of some good soundtracks. The movie stars Shreyas Talpade with a debuting foreign actress named Lina Christianson.

The title track, ‘Bombay To Bangkok‘ has been composed and crooned by Sukhwinder Singh. The song is not the one who will live upto the listener’s expectation. The theme of the song is based on two people belonging to different nationalities but have many thing common.

The very next track of the album is ‘Same Same But Different’ which is beautifully crooned by K.K. The song is actually written by Mir Ali Husain of Dor fame. The voices of Shreyas and Lina is also used for some lines of the songs. This song proved out to be the first good dance numbers of this year.

Dheere dheere‘ is the next track which has been sung by Zubeen Garg in his enthusastic voice. This song is also written by Mir Ali Hussein and composed by Ronnie Shirish. The song is a soft melodious number with an average disposition.

Dil ka haal sune dil wala‘ is crooned by the duo, Sonu Nigam and Sunidhi Chauhan. This song is written by Shabbir Ahmed and doesn’t look to be compared with the old one picturised on Raj Kapoor( Dil ka haal sune dilwaala, sidhi si baat na mirch masala). The songs sounds good on listening for the first time but will loose it’s charm with the passage of time.

The next song of the album is ‘Lavani’ which is rendered by Sukhwinder Singh in his evergreen voice. The lyrics of this song has been written by Ibrahim Ashq. The song is not so impressing but a situational one.

In the whole Bombay To Bangkok is a album which can be heard one or two times but not more than that. Only ‘Same same but different’ seems to live up to the expectations. Let see whether the album will rock the charts or fail to make even to the list.
