Well, trust Ram Gopal Verma to try casting coups time and again in his movies but this time he has done a different kind of coup for where the music of Darling is concerned, he has chosen the trio Pritam, Himesh Reshammiya & Prasanna Shekhar, and for lyrics, Sameer. Here is the review of Darling’s music:

Awaaz koi’ by Priyadarshini starts off with an eerie haunting note and progresses on to become a jarring account of the secret skirmishes of a woman’s love and the way she fears someone’s presence other than her lover’s.
The next track manages to stir up some emotions, thanks to the lyrics and the music, and above all singer Tusli Kumar, who does justice to ‘akele tanha’, though you might be reminded of ‘roundhe hai’ from Ramu’s Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya. The song aims to capture a lonely heart’s feelings.
Shaan and Tulsi Kumar get together in ‘hasaye bhi rulaye bhi sataye bhi’ and the song is a good one and you might want to listen to it more than just once. Shaan sings quite beautifully and Tusli Kumar keeps up with him. The lyrics have been done with music which suits them in a good way, never making you let go of the song.
Saathiya’ will definitely get you going, for one (once literally) big reason: Adnan Sami. The singer has done this song in his trademark soothing vocals and the music too seems to get more out of him, what with the piano sound superimposed with his own. Tulsi Kumar keep him company and the lyrics are as mushy as in most of songs sung by Adnan. Definitely a winner, this one.
Shaan and Sunidhi Chauhan have done a so-so dance number ‘aa khushi se khudkushi kar lein’. Well, you could be forgiven for feeling that the songs very title seems so odd. The lyrics which are nothing to write home about drown in the loud music which again is nothing great, just a passable number. What’s worse? That you have a remix for this number.
And do we need to say anything for the number ‘tadap’? Himesh Reshamiyya and Tulsi Kumar must have known that this would be that one song which would fetch them maximum accolades from the whole album. The album has three other remixes: ‘saathiya’, ‘hasaye bhi rulaye bhi’ and ‘tadap’, of which you will definitely enjoy the ones of ‘tadap’ and ‘saathiya’. Hope you have a great time listening to this album.
