Music Review of Heyy Babyy Starring Akshay Kumar
So the music of Heyy Babyy is already making waves, especially when three men are drooling all over 13 starlets from Bollywood including Malaika Arora Khan, Amrita Arora, Amrita Rao, Minnisha Lamba, Koena Mitra, and Celina Jaitley! Here is the review for the music of Hey Baby:
With Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy handling the music of this biggie, which is also in the news for being the directorial debut of Farah Khan’s brother Sajid Khan, you can expect some great music coming up your way. And seems like the trio haven’t disappointed us this time.
The album kicks off with what else but the title track ‘heyy babyy’, which has the three leading men Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and Fardeen Khan grooving to the beats in a careless, ‘in the moment’ attitude. Even the chorus seems to be so in sync with the song that you cannot help but groove to the beats. The song’s choreography has the trademark butt-slapping step too, in case you wanna get real naughty with the song. DJ Whosane has pumped it up with quite a hell lot of punk in the ‘big o remix’. It will surely burn the dance floor.
‘Dholna‘ is just another number on the album which isn’t too well as far as freshness is concerned, but when you have voices of Shreya Ghoshal and Sonu Nigam, you are sure going to give it one shot at listening. It has all the typical ingredients in place. Seems like this one has got the typical-Bollywood-romantic song lyrics with its fair share of words, but you have even got a remix of this one by DJ Whosane.
And how can you not expect a jazzy qawaali when you have three music maestros and Farah Khan’s brother as director? (Remember ‘tumse mike’ from ‘Main Hoon Na’?) This time you got it in the voices of Salim Shehzada, Rehan Khan, Shankar Mahadevan and Sajid Khan who rock the house in ‘mast kalandar‘. You bet, this one will surely be a chartbuster.
So when the music is sizzling the charts with so many hotties on screen, you have some girls joining up behind the mic, off screen too. Aussie style via Girl Band featuring Renee Bargh, Patrice Tipoki, Jessica Smith and Renee Armstrong all get together for the girls version of ‘hey babyy’. And with this one too, you will surely get all your chances in this world to flaunt your right moves on the dance floor.
‘Jaane bhi de‘ is a soft one, and it doesn’t seem like we got a winner at hand for this one. But if you wanna try out then you also got a ‘Hiphop hiccup remix‘. quite a name, for his one!
Shankar Ehsaan Loy couldn’t have completed this album without ‘meri duniya tu hi re’, which is resplendent with their signature style, and have a great combo at work here : Shaan, Sonu and Shankar, who have stirred up arguably the best song in the whole of this album.
All in all, Heyy Babyy is another winner, which is here to stay!
