Nandana Sen who was a part of Ketan Mehta’s Rang Rasiya has turned down and international project which was to be directed by Italian filmmaker Italo Spinelli. Though tempting and challenging she had to turn down the offer. The screenplay for the movie has been adapted by Bengali litterateur Mahashweta Devi’s story Choli Ke Peeche. In the movie Nandana was to play, a tribal woman .the movie required her to go topless for some scenes.

She turned down the movie due to these scenes though she completely stood by the plot of the movie. This tribal woman has some nude photos of her host by a photographer. Nandana says that the nude photography would have made news and publicized even though the actual idea was not to display that. She is coming off a bold role in Ketan Mehta’s movie Rang Rasiya in which she played the wife of Ravi Varma.

Ravi Varma who is a painter played by Randeep Hooda. Nandana played his wife named Sugandha. The movie tries to prove tha paint that a painter should have the freedom to paint on the canvas the human body in the natural form. The movie has Nandana breaking the rules and posing nude for her husband so that he could create his masterpiece.

She has now let more tha one international project pass through this one was to be show by Blasco Giurardo who had done the cinematography in the movie Cinema Paradiso. Looks like Nandana has decided to take a break from doing nude scenes in a movie. The reason maybe Madhu Mantena with whom she might be thinking of settling down.
