Veteran bollywood actor, Naseeruddin Shah will be seen portraying the role of Ranbir Kapoor’s dad in Ayaan Mukherjee’s forthcoming directional debut flick titled Wake Up Sid. Bollywood actress Konkona Sen Sharma will be seen playing the female lead in the film.

Ayaan Mukherjee is a young cousin of sexy damsel Rani Mukherjee. Ace filmmaker Karan Johar is producing the film for Ayaan. Recently Naseeruddin Shah was approached to play Ranbir’s father in the film to which he instantly gave his nod as he thinks that Ranbir was wonderful in Saawariya.

According to the sources, Naseer has accepted to play the role of Ranbir’s father as he is fond of Rishi Kapoor. Naseer was last seen as a talking photograph in Imraan Khan and Genelia D’Souza starrer Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. He even received several compliments for being a talking picture in the film.
