Neil has his project shelved indefinitely

Neil Nitin Mukesh is having a rough time at the box office counter even though he is receiving critical acclaim for his performances. However to survive in the industry you just cannot afford to have a few critics praising you. Until the audiences turn up to buy the tickets, you are going to have a tough time. Neil until date had put in some nice performances in movies like Johnny Gaddar and Aa Dekhen Zara.

However, he is now finding it out the hard way that this is not enough. Abbas Mustan were to make a movie with Neil playing the only male lead in the movie. Now after seeing his performances the box office and due to the ongoing strike they have decided to put the project on shelf. Now it is highly unlikely that they will begin the shoot for the project any time soon. The shoot was originally scheduled for the month of May.

The reason the director duo have given for the project being shelved is the fact that monsoon will hit Mumbai in the month or two and that is not the weather in which they intend to shoot their movie. Maybe better planning would have helped the movie that only required 45 days to complete the entire movie.

Neil will now be relying on his movie New York to revive his career in these tough times. The movie will also see performances from John Abraham and Katrina Kaif and that is likely to work in his favor. He is also having Jail that will be releasing this year for which he is currently shooting in Karjat.
