Recently there was a report saying that Kareena Kapoor had altogether refused to talk to Amitabh Bachchan and had ignored him at an award function. The two biggest families in the industry had stopped meeting and talking to each other after the engagement of Abhishek Bachchan and Karisma Kapoor was called off. The two families have had close tied singe the generation of their grand fathers. Abhishek and Kareena even debuted together in J.P.Dutta’s Refugee and received appreciation for the performances they put in.

A friend close to Kareena has said that she would never disrespect any of her elders in this way. She respected Mr.Bachchan and dare not do such a thing to him. She has been born and brought around these people and knows how to behave herself. She will never mix her personal and professional life together. There seems to be some renewed friendship between the two camps after a sort of cold war between the two families after the marriage was called off.

It was said that even after the split Kareena Kapoor was ready to work with Abhishek Bachchan whereas Abhi was the one who refused to work together in a project and since then they have not been paired together onscreen. Maybe now that the ties seem to have renewed they might share the screen space once more.

Mr.Bachchan also clarified in his blog that all was well and there was no such occasion when Kareena Kapoor ignored him or refused to talk to him. He also wrote that the two families respected each other for the kind of work they had done and continue to do so.
