Baichung Bhutia won the Jhalak Dikhla Jaa reality show this year. He has decided that he will no longer be dancing on television. He in the beginning was apprehensive about doing the show, as he had never had training in dancing. He also had some of his matches clashing in between the shoe but when the matches were re scheduled or postponed, he decided to participate in the reality show.

The three primary reasons for him to come on the show were to learn dancing, for the experience of being on a reality show and lastly to dance on disco tracks like he used to see Rishi Kapoor dancing during his growing years. When he was paired alongside his choreographer Sonia Jaffer nobody would have dreamt that he would go on to win the show.

He made a disappointing start though he picked up toward the end as he managed to get full score three times in a row scoring a Hattrick. The performance start earned him those scores included an international free flowing dance, rumba and a salsa performance which he did with a blindfold on. Saroj Khan, Vaibhavi Merchant and Juhi Chawla were the judges on the show.

He quit Mohan Bagan after he was served with a notice for missing the practice matches and now when he is back to football he is looking forward to the Nehru cup where he will represent India. He will be flying to Spain and Portugal to prepare for the cup. He was happy with the response the fans gave him an also with the limelight that is mostly given to the cricketers in the country.
