Mandira Bedi is more than a known face on Indian television. She might be the most recognized face on the Indian television after hosting a mega event like the ICC World Cup and then the last season of the IPL. Her successful stints in many other shows are also not to be missed. With so much popularity, it does not come as a surprise that she has even acted in a few Bollywood movies.

She has been a part of movies like Meerabai Not Out, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Shaadi Ka Laddoo. She also managed to leave more than an impression in these movies then why is that she is not having any other movies in her kitty right now. Ask her this question and you get a spat reply, she says that until now the filmmakers have not figured out what sorts of role to offer her and what is best suited to her.

She has now started to get a feeling that she might not be a film person after all and that might be not her cup of tea. She says that despite all that she is all game if she gets a script that excites her make her jump to do it. If she can get under the skin of the character, then she will do it and there is no point in letting a role like that past.

However, items numbers are a strict no-no for her, as she does not want to end up as an item girl. In addition, she has, made it clear that she will not work with a small banner if they are offering her a small role. She feels with mainstream actors venturing into parallel cinema the scope for actors like her has reduced very much.
