Bipasha Basu has been finalised for Raj Kumar Santoshi’s next film Ashok. This would be the first period film of Bipasha in her acting career. She was also offered a period film with Abhishek Bachchan in starting of her career but unfortunately that project never took off.

She was supposed to start her acting career with J.P. Dutta’s periodic movie Aakhri Mughal. According to Bipasha, she is always ready to do something different in her work. Despite being considered as one of the sexy actress of bollywood, Bipasha wants to give atleast a try to the period film.

She will be playing the role of Tishayraksha in the movie. Earlier, Rituparno Ghosh has also approached her for his period drama Draupadi for the lead role. She will also be seen in Ben Kingsley’s Taj Mahal. Bipasha’s last venture was with Dan Dana Dan Goal opposite his boyfriend, John Abraham.

Her recently coming movies include Abbas-Mustan’s suspense-thriller, Race. Although the movie also stars three other actress too but still Bipasha is quite okay with her role. Right now she is having only one film under her belt opposite latest bollywood heartthrob, Ranbir Kapoor.
