Bollywood romantic family drama movie, Us Paar, directed by Basu Chattejee was released in the year 1974. The movie starred Vinod Mehra and Moushami Chatterjee in lead roles while Padma Khanna, Raja Paranjpe, Paintal, Jalal Agha, A. K. Hangal and Lalita Kumari also played important characters in the film. The melodious music of the movie was directed by none other than the hit music director Sachin Dev Burman while the songs were rendered by Mohammed Rafi, Manna Dey, Lata Mangeshkar etc.
Young and handsome, Mohan ( Vinod Mehra ) is living seperate in city from his family for his completing education. He is in a college. His family consists of his grandfather, father and mother. But Mohan is not interested in studies at all and s actually a lazy slacker. His father asks him to retunr to village to stay with them but he refuses straightaway. For all those who have gone out and got a chance to catch the special screening of the movie Blue have come out all with the same expressions and that is of seeing some great adrenaline rush throughout the entire movie. It could not have been more faced paced action or thrill than this was the unanimous answer. Whether the general public shares the same opinion would be made clear in a few days.
What was made clear after the screening was the act that the director’s decision of having a run time of less than two hours seems to have made no impact on the final product. Anthony D’Souza how has made his debut with this movie was confident about the run time and he had his beliefs in the right place when he said that a run time of one hour and fifty-seven minutes was enough to narrate the story.
