A few days back we heard Meera claiming that attempt was made on her life by terrorist but she escaped and wanted police protection. Later it was revealed that it was not terrorist rather his husband who had proof that Meera was his wife and that her mother had without permission moved some antique furniture from her house. Now the controversy has further deepened with a tape being leaked to the news channel in which Meera can be clearly heard professing her love to her husband.

The daily times quoted Meera saying the following word I love you more than anything else in the entire world. She spoke these words after her husband asked her how much she cared for him. She also said on the same tape that he should not bother him by saying repeatedly that they were married. She said that whatever it was there between them is over.

She said that the piece of paper that he is carrying does not matter anymore, as there is no relation that exists between them now. She was referring to the marriage certificate that her husband Attiqur Rehman had produced in the police station. She said that this harassment from him should stop. However after the video was shown by the private news channel the feeling is that her case has been considerably weakened.

Rehman has put forth his claim saying that Meera is living in her house and was also having his antique furniture, which should be returned to him. Mahesh Bhatt who had earlier confirmed that an attempt was made on her life and that she needed help did not comment on the issue after the video was shown.
