His comic timing as belived is the best among all the other comedian actors present in Bollywood now a days. He really contains great potential in terms of acting. In the classic ANDAZ APNA APNA he portrayed his double weird characters (TEJA and RAMGOPAL BAJAJ) with such an ease.

But his best performance came in the laugh riot or rib tickling comedy HERA PHERI. He played the dim-witted and boisterous character of ‘babu bhaiya aka Baburao ganpatrao apte’ with such a perfection. Infact Rawal’s acting was the key reason for the great success the film received.

It’s not that he has played only comic character infact Paresh Rawal has played every kind of role and portrayed a variety of characters in his movies. He started his career with a negative character in the movie ARJUN. But after playing the evergreen character of Baburao in HERAPHERI, he was continously doing the comic role in other movies like Awara Paagal Deewana, Garam Masala, Deewane Huye Pagal, Malamaal Weekly, Golmaal,Chup Chup Ke and Bhagam Bhag. He also reprised his role as Baburao in Phir Hera Pheri(sequel of the HERA PHERI) which was also successful.

Paresh Rawal has won the Filmfare Best Comedian Award, Filmfare Best Villain Award and National Award for the Bollywood movies Sardar and Tammanna. He is happily married to Swaroop Sampat.
