Jacqueline Fernandes is all set to make her debut with the movie Aladin that is all set and geared up for release. There has been already much hype generated around the movie especially with the claims of visual effects and graphics matching the standards set by the Harry Potter saga. Jacqueline who plays the character of jasmine in the movie says that it was a dream coming true for her being a part of Bollywood and the glamour world.

She always wanted to be a part of the movie making industry right from her childhood and it was not an easy walk for her to the point where she is today. She said that after her birth her Sri Lanka her entire childhood and primary education was done in Bahrain after which she moved to Australia for her higher education. After completing that, she hosted a television show that talked about fitness.

After her stint at television in Bahrain, she moved back to Sri Lanka where she became a news reporter for a local news channel. This gave her opportunity for interacting with the politicians and coming close with problems that people faced in the times of turmoil. She formed an opinion on how to achieve peace and prosperity in those troubled times.

She says that was always serious with her studies but when it came to acting she never left it far behind and it was always amidst the career opportunities she had while growing up as a kid. It was after she won the Miss Sri Lanka pageant and represented her country in the Miss Universe pageant that she received all the attention and Sujoy Ghosh approached her with the role of Jasmine making her dream turn into a reality.
