Things seem to have changed quickly in the life of Preity Zinta. The bubbly girl seems to be going through a rough phase both professionally and personally. Going through a break up cannot be easy for anyone and she is no exception. After being involved in a long relationship with Ness Wadia, they decided to part ways.

Maybe she was hoping that her team Kings XI Punjab would make it to the semis but that also did not happen for her as they crashed out in nail biter. She did all she could supporting her team nothing seems to be going her way. Recently Deepa Mehta approached her with a movie offer but she turned down the role. The reason she gave for turning down the role was that she had already taken up a television show.

As of now, nothing has been said of the show. It was not very long ago that Deepa was all praise for the performance Preity had put in the movie Videsh, but after the disastrous show at the box office things seem to have changed and from the looks of it Preity is in no mood of working with Deepa again. As it sands Preity was not the first choice for the role. Deepa had approached Lisa Ray for the role who refused the offer.

Deepa had earlier directed Lisa in the movie Water. Preity is not having much work with her. The only release she will be having this year will be Har Pall. Besides that, she will also be doing a guest appearance in the Salman Khan starrer Main Aur Mrs. Khanna. She will hope of getting the crown of best actress back on her head but she has a long road ahead.
