Yesteryear bollywood hit family drama, Raagini, directed by Rakhan was released in the year 1958. The movie starred Kishore Kumar and Padmini in lead roles while Nasir Hussain, Achala Sachdev, Jabeen Jalil and Ashok Kumar also played significant characters in the film. The hit evergreen melodious music of the movie was composed by none other than the legendary music director O. P. Nayyar while the songs were beautifully sung by Asha Bhonsle.

The movie starts with a young and handsome guy named Rajan ( Kishore Kumar ), who is living a wealthy lifestyle. He is a happy go lucky kind of person. He believes in living every moment of life to the full extent. He come across a beautiful girl named Raagini ( Padmini ). He get attracted towards her and tries to woo her. Soon they both falls in love with each other and decides to get married. One stormy night they ends up getting physical with each other. Raagini gets pregnant with a child.

Rajan and Raagini decides to get married as early as poosible. Rajan goes to make arrangement for their marrige but while returning he meets with a severe accident. Rajan passes away in that accident leaving behind pregnant Raagini. Raagini get devastated with this news. What Raagini will do now? Whether she will allow her child to take birth in this world or not.
