It has been a long time coming. Rajnikanth has finally got to work with Aishwarya Rai in the movie Endhiran. He always wanted to work with her but never got an opportunity until now. Shankar is directing the movie. Now she had to do her dialogues in Tamil, which can be quite a tough job for someone who is not known to the language. The director and Rajni both knew that it would take more than the usual number of takes to get the shot right.

So they were mentally prepared for much higher number of takes. However, Aish very quickly got hold the language and was there delivering the dialogues as she does her in Hindi movies. Along with the dialogues she also got the emotions spot on. The hidden talent of hers took everyone from Rajni to the director aback. The fact that she made her debut with a Tamil movie in the form of Iruvar would have helped.

Her mother tongue of Tulu is quite different from Tamil. She earlier had to speak her dialogues in Bengali when she did the movie Choker Bali with Rituparno Ghosh. However her voce had to dubbed though as she was not able to get the emotion in the voice correctly. It required a particular tone, which was unable to produce.

Currently she is hooting with hubby Abhishek Bachchan for Mani Ratnam movie. The shoot is being done in Ooty and after that is over, she will be back on the sets of Endhiran. These kinds of schedules can be grueling for an actor.
