It has been months now that Ranbir Kapoor has been spotted with a full-fledged beard at all his public appearances he has had in this time. The reason for the beard is obviously his movie Rocket Singh- Salesman Of The Year that is being directed by Shimit Amin of Chak De India fame. Now the beard is starting to harm his work. The movie was supposed to be wrapped up a day before the Independence Day but it was delayed a bit.

Therefore, Ranbir has to carry the look for some additional time, which is something he is not very pleased about. This is the longest that he has ever gone without shaving off his beard. Shimit wants him to original beards through the entire flick so as to keep the Sikh heads on their sides in case a controversy is round the corner.

However, the makers of Wake Up Sid and Rajneeti are not too pleased with the situation as Ranbir was to shoot along with them and now they are bearing the brunt of the delay. They require a clean-shaven look, which is in complete contrast to the look that he is currently supporting. Ranbir is etching to shave off the beard but first he has to complete the remaining portion of the shoot.

Gauhar Khan who plays the female lead in the movie has also taken care of the look and colored her blonde hair so as to no upset any members of the Sikh community and jeopardize the fate of the movie at the box office by dragging the movie into unnecessary controversy.
