Ranbir Kapoor- From confused lover to confused NRI?

The latest news bees in the Bollywood grapevine buzzed when Ranbir (Rishi) Kapoor bagged the role of a confused London- based NRI in a yet untitled Mani Ratnam film. Though the Yuva director is busy shooting with Junior Bacchan and the Bacchan Bahu in the south for his film ‘Ravana‘, he has already got Ranbir affirmed for the upcoming project. As the news goes, the script has been penned by Rensil D’ Silva. The film goes on to tell about the identity crisis faced by the coming age of youth (here, singly brought out by Ranbir) as they go on to find the clear perspective of life.

After two big budget movies (Saawariya, Bachna Ae Haseeno) and one blockbuster (the later), the much hyped about Rishi Kapoor junior has started making it big in Bollywood! Though the sets and script of Saawariya (Sanjay Leela Bhansali) could not prove to be of much commercial success, it brought Kapoor much publicity and acclaim for his acting skills. But ‘Bachna’ was a blockbuster and Ranbir’s acting, attitude and reel-life chemistry with his heroines just rocked the Bollywood charts!

Ranbir Kapoor plays the role of an young, confused London-based Indian who is torn between his Indian values and western lifestyle as he tries to find his own identity and goes on to attain a clear picture of life. In ‘Bachna!’ Ranbir played an Australia-based NRI and this time he is playing a London’ier. Seems we’ll never get him to play an Indian residing in India!

Though the star cast of the film has not yet been finalised, Ranbir is quite contented by bagging this peppy role. He still has two titillating projects in his kitty-’ Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani‘ and ‘Wake Up Sid’.

Ranbir hogs the limelight for the cause love life which swings to and fro between Sonam Kapoor (of Saawariya fame) and Deepika Padukone (of Om Shanti Om fame),as it were, hope he gets enough green backs for his upcoming films!
