Not it is the turn of Ranbir Kapoor to play a Sardar is his next movie titled Rocket Singh- Salesman of the year. In the years gone by Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar played the role of a Sardar in their movies Heroes and Singh Is Kinng respectively. The movies went on to do very good business. He will have to be a bit careful though as Akshay’s movie went into a bit of trouble when he played the part without growing full beard.

In the movie, his character will be called Rocket Singh as the name suggests. The fact that the movie will be made under the Yashraj banner will help his cause who are known to be very good promoters if their products. The schedule for the movie has already started rolling since 2 May. He has left a good impression on the audiences with his first two movies namely Saawariya and Bachna Ae Haseeno.

Shimit Amin who rose to fame with Chak De India will direct the movie. He will be assisted by in writing the screenplay. The movie will be an all out comedy .The movie will highlight the economy of current India. The movie has been scheduled to release this year in the month of December unless it is delayed due to the ongoing strike.

Besides these movies, Ranbir will be having Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and Rajniti releasing in the coming months. In both the movies, he will have Katrina Kaif sharing the screen space with him. He is also having Wake Up Sid alongside Konkona Sen Sharma.
