Global recession has started showing its signs of affecting film industry in almost all departments, whether it is viewer ship, revenues or the net profit. This was clearly proved with the new of Mukta Arts or you can say Subhash Ghai firing around 10 to 15 of his staff who were also part of his latest venture Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Yuvraaj. It is also an after effect of the failure of the film Yuvraaj from which Subhash Ghai expected a lot and had all hopes locked in to it.

Subhash Ghai in an interview states that he is not firing any staff of the company who has been an integral part of the Mukta Arts for long but is only firing those staffs and personals that are on contracts or per project basis and since the same ends after Yuvraaj; they are shown the exit door.

One of the reasons is also that according to Subhash Ghai, it was the failure on the part of the team and their lack of effort which resulted in the Yuvraaj being one of the biggest flops of the current year. This only shows that the jobs in the film industry for the back office people as well as have become tremendously risky as the same trend is reported to have been followed in smaller scale by other producers and filmmakers as well.

Speculations are also there that a few job cuts from other productions houses would also be made, but yes they are just mere speculations. Whatever, the situation is going to come on track in a couple of months and won’t affect the film industry much. So individuals who belong to the film industry do not have to worry much.
