After much thinking, Ram Gopal Varma has signed South Indian actor Surya to play the character of Suri in his most ambitious project until date titled Rakta Charitra. The movie will be made in two parts and will revolve around the life of Paritala Ravi. The character will be played by Vivek Oberoi who has made a comeback to the RGV camp after making he had made his debut with company.

There was much talk that who will be playing the character of Suri. There were rumors that RGV will patch up with Manoj Bajpai and will sign him for the movie. However, that has not happened and instead it will be Surya who will be playing the role. Surya was the main protagonist in the original Ghajini. However, he rose to fame when Aamir khan took the movie to an altogether new height.

The directors in the Bollywood took talent of his talent prowess and he too was looking forward to some good offers. However, when RGV approached him for this, it could not have got any better for Surya who instantly agreed to play the part. In the movie, he will be having some high voltage dramatic scenes opposite Vivek.

RGV has not had a good time at the box office recently with his movies like Phoonk and many other flopping. He will be hoping to turn the table around with this one. Besides Rakta Charitra, he is also having Agyaat and Rann that will be releasing in the coming months. Rann will be the one to look out for as he continues his partnership with Amitabh Bachchan after successfully directing him in Sarkar and the sequel.
