Daughter of legendary badminton player Prakash Padukone, Deepika Padukone was last seen in her debut film, Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om starring opposite Shahrukh Khan. The film is considered to be the blockbuster of the year at the box office.

Now once again the gorgeous leading lady of Om Shanti Om, is all set to do a film with Saif Ali Khan, directed by Jab We Met fame Imtiaz Ali. It’s been a noteworthing point that in this film Imtiaz has not taken his previous film’s heroine Kareena Kapoor. Now this is important to know that despite being considered as Kareena’s current love interest, Saif has requested the director to take Deepika in this film.

The film will be the second home production movie of Saif Ali Khan. Actually Saif is quite impressed with Deepika’s Performance in OSO and hence decided to work with her in the next film. The script of this film has already been finalised.

It is a very good thing happening with this young lad of bollywood, as in her debut film she worked with baadshah Shahrukh Khan and now in her very second movie she is going to be cast opposite Saif Ali Khan. The theme of the film will be on a real love story.

Saif has shown his interest in working with Imtiaz Ali after seeing Jab We Met. Jab We Met has performed good at the box office. Kareena has not made any comment on Deepika’s entry as Saif’s leading lady in the film till now. Deepika has also been cast opposite khiladi Akshay Kumar for a film.

Deepika’s so called rival, Sonam Kapoor has also signed her next film with Hrithik Roshan too. Deepika has already got the chance to work with two talented actors of bollywood after baadshah Khan. Certainly Deepika is having an extra edge over Sonam Kapoor.
