The hit duo of Salim-Suleiman has gone international with their compositions and has now been nominated at the most popular global music awards. They have been nominated for the Emmy awards, which have been scheduled to take place on August 30.The prestigious night, will be held inside Los Angeles. This is the first time that any Indian has been nominated to this popular award.

When they heard of the nomination, they were ecstatic. They spoke on the nomination and said that this is the kind of appreciation that nay artistes strives for and finally when your work is appreciated and that also on a stage like this it makes you strive even more hard and takes you onto the next level. They will be optimistic when they show up on the award night.

An award like this might just help them get more projects internationally. They composed the song We like being small which was to be televised on the show Wonder Pets, which is aired on Nickelodeon. They song was used in the episode Save The Bengal Tiger. They were contacted to do the compositions after the makers of their show heard their compositions in the movie Chak De India.

Salim-Suleiman have also composed in movies like Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Aaja Nachle and Fashion. They had a tough time composing for the song though as they had no video with them. All they knew was the duration of the show and the script. Above all doing for a children’s show made the going even more tough as they have never composed music for this audience.
