Salman Khan and Vivek Oberoi might be seen battling each other once again but this time around, the battleground will be the box office counter. Salman is having his dream project Veer scheduled to be released around the last week of November and releasing around the same time will be Jihad that is being directed by Rensil D’Silva. The movie will see Vivek Oberoi playing a terrorist.

Vivek is not the main lea though. Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor who are playing terrorists will portray the main lead roles in the movie. The actress alongside Vivek will be beautiful Minisha Lamba who plays a journalist in the movie. Minisha might be seen doing some repair to her career after her movie Kidnap failed at the box office.

The movie seems to have been inspired by the Hollywood flick Arlington Road that released in the year 1999. A trivia that many might not know about the movie is that it was Irfan Khan who was to play the role of Vivek Oberoi but he turned it down saying that he did not want to understand the mind of a terrorist. He also wanted to keep away from the way of thinking of a terrorist so he politely declined the role.

Vivek has not had a good year or two at the box office with failures like Fool N’ Final and Mission Istanbul. The only movie that one can recall as hit was Shootout at Lokhandwala long time back. A hit is therefore long time due. Vivek has had several attempts to end the tension with Salman but to no avail. He will be hoping that he at least give him a good fight at the box office with his movie Jihad.
