The organizers at the IIFA are in for some hard times. At the very last moments, many stars have backed out of their performances. Some days back it was Akshay Kumar who refused to perform at the event and now it is the pair of Shahid Kapur and Priyanka Chopra who has refused to perform on the awards night. They were to perform on the tracks of their movie Kaminay.

Shahid Kapur had a clash of date, which he had given to his producer well in advance. So in order to keep his commitment he had to give the IIFA amiss this year. He is also having some work pending for the Ken Ghosh movie in which he will share the screen space with Genelia D’Souza. He will be having three of his movies releasing in the time to come in the form of Kaminay, Pathshala and a Yashraj flick, which is yet to given a name.

When Shahid opted out Priyanka was not behind. She also opted out of the awards night citing a busy schedule ahead as she is shooting for the Yashraj movie Pyaar Impossible that is being shot in Bangkok. In the movie, she plays the screen space with Uday Chopra and the movie is based on a love story between the beauty and the geek.

She will be attending the event though, which will be some respite for the organizers. She will fly down to Macau just for the event and after the event, she will back off to her shoot. Will there be any more last minute cancellations remains to be seen. It is surly not good news for the organizers though.
