After Kaminey, many things have changes in the life of Shahid Kapur. The fan following of his has grown tenfold and he is now being counted amongst the top stars of the industry. With all this accolades and appreciation comes one more thing and that is increased pay for doing a single movie. All the people who were approaching him for a movie now knew that that they would have to pay hiked fee but the showman Subhash Ghai was in for a surprise and shock.

He approached Shahid with a role in his next movie, which is yet to be tiled, but it will be a romantic flick. Now he was shocked when Shahid demanded 15 crores from him for doing the movie. Now the ace director had not expected such a huge amount so he had to drop the idea of casting Shahid and look for somebody else. Shahid also in the meantime will appear on Farah Khan’s show Tere Mere Beach Mein.

On the show, Shahid speaks of many things and amongst that is the low that he felt after giving a series of flops making an impressive debut with Ishk Vishk. He had lost confidence in himself and even after he signed on for Vivah, he was uncertain about how it will fare. However, one day Suraj Barjatya came up to him and told him to be successful you need talent and that he had it in him.

Shahid went ahead gave a perfect shot came back had a look at it in the monitor and said to himself that he knew his craft well and that he could do it. He said that even after Vivah was a hit he sat in the house without any flick and in all these months he turned down 60 movie offers waiting for a script like Kaminey.
