Shahid Kapoor is next Shahrukh Khan
Shahid Kapoor has finally consolidated his position in bollywood as a next romantic hero after the success of Jab We Met. It is assumed that Shahid will lead the next genre of romantic heroes after Shahrukh Khan in bollywood. After the success of Jab We Met, the actor has found place in the wish lists of the big production houses.
Though Shahid has a wonderfull debut with Ishq-Visq but he was not able to continue that good run in his next films. But the success of Sooraj Bardjatya’s Vivah followed by Jab We Met has totally turned his career to a new direction. As most of the current romantic heroes of bollywood are almost 40 plus so there is a need of a new genre of romantic heroes in bollywood.
Recently Shahid Kapoor has been approached by Yash Raj Films for a romantic movie. Actually Aditya Chopra is very impressed by the way Shahid carried his role in Jab We Met. His performance was brilliant in all the shades of his character in the movie. Now it can be said that Shahid is an actor who can carry a film on his shoulders.
The movie will be directed by Anurag Singh. Despite having some rude moments in his personal life, year 2007 was pretty good for Shahid on his professional front. He has been linked with two beautiful lads of bollywood (Amrita Rao and Vidya Balan) after his breakup with Kareena Kapoor. Now he has been spotted with tennis star Sania Mirza. And this pair is circulating waves all around.
