Shahid Kapur made a name for himself with his debut movie Ishq Vishk. He left a mark o with his chocolate boy looks. The looks have got him so far but now he wanted to move ahead and do more manly roles. For that, he is trying to do away with that boy next doo image that he has created for himself. The first movie that we will see him going for the makeover is Kaminay in which he plays a double role, in one of the roles he plays a bad guy for the first time.

According to some reports, Jiah Khan was dropped from Yahoo to incorporate some of the changes in the character of Shahid Kapur. The movie has him in many scenes with children but that reminded him of the Vah! Life Ho Toh Aisi and the bad outing he had at the box office. Keeping that in mind changes were made to his role. Genelia D’Souza was roped in to balance the equation and energy levels of Shahid on the sets.

Ken Ghosh who is directing the movie though rubbishes the rumors saying that Jiah was dropped as after making the changes the personality of the character changed which did not match with her so Genelia had to be rope in. He is also unbothered about the song that they have shot with American choreographer Marty Kudelka saying that Jiah had only small appearances in the song and that can be easily edited.

Chocolate boy image or not Shahid should let his work do all the talking. It will be up to audiences to decide whether they like the change in Shahid.
