Director Anthony D’Souza has from the day one of promotions of Blue been using the daredevil stunts done of the lead actors as a major promotion tool but it was recently revealed how Akshay Kumar had a close encounter with sharks who almost would have had him as a bait. It was while shooting one of those fast paces action sequences under water that Akshay had an accident.

He was required to shoot the scene under water without any oxygen mask and while doing the scene he was hit on his head by an iron shaft and suddenly there was blood oozing out of his head under water. How sharks are known to get a sensation of blood from miles away under water and in this case Akshay was so close to them. I took response from the safety divers who immediately dived in forming a rescue circle around Akshay and took him to safety.

There were close to 50 sharks that were ready on the spot to take him as their food. There was also additional bait thrown in the other direction so that the sharks would get distracted, leave Akshay, and allow the safety divers to take him to rescue. Even after so much caution being taken, three sharks manage to follow them all the way up to the top.

After Akshay was rescued and given the first aid the first question that popped out of his mouth was that whether the take was ok or whether he needed to do an another attempt. Sanjay Dutt also faced a health scare when he was required to shoot with oxygen and nitrogen in his tank. He is known to have a lung condition, which aggravated under water because of the gases present.
