Shilpa Shetty has watched each and every match of her team Rajasthan Royals with great interest and concentration. She has openly said that she does not know very much about the game but she is trying to improve on her knowledge of the game with a little bit of help from the team captain Shane Warne and Graeme Smith who is the captain of the South African cricket team.

Shilpa’s team handed over defeat to Shahrukh Khan’s team but was defeated by the Kings XI Punjab, which is owned by Preity Zinta. There is also a story doing the rounds that how Shilpa ended up buying a stake in the franchisee. It was when the team owners approached her to be a part of the movie they were making on their famous win in the first season of the IPL.

She decided to invest the money back in the team that was being offered to her. Now with the help of boyfriend Raj Kundra she bought an additional stake of 12 percent in the franchisee. The plan to make the movie has been dropped for the time being. She is having a very good time cheering on the team with her sister Shamita Shetty who is also making her presence felt.

The team has had few spectacular wins and then on the other hand they have had some very disappointing losses. With Yusuf Pathan taking them home in the super over was the highest moment in the event so far. She will be hoping that her team is able to defend their title of being the champions.
