Bollywood has had its fare share of controversies but this time it has gone way too far. Actor Shiney Ahuja has been arrested for raping domestic help and was produced in the Andheri court today. The domestic help had been working at his house in Oshiwara’s Tarapore Complex for about two months. The incident happened on 14 June in the evening.

When the house cleaner turned up to do her work in the evening around 3PM, Shiney took her to the room and raped her. The maid in shock after the incident and traumatized went straight to her relatives who then took her to the police station where she filed the report around 7PM. Shiney had been living alone in the house as his daughter and wife were away giving all the more reason as to why he did the rape.

When the police reached his residence, he was there with his friends whom he had called over to watch an English flick. The house cleaner was sent to Nagpada police hospital for a medical examination where it was confirmed that she had been sexually abused. There are quite a few stories doing the rounds. One says that Shiney has accepted it saying it was only on mutual consent and cannot be termed as rape.

It will curtains for his career if he is proven guilty. He will be seen in the following movies Har Pall, Accident and Chaaloo Movie in the coming months. This is a sad day in Bollywood when one of its very own has done such a shameful act. You might say innocent until proven guilty but looking at the evidence there is little hope for him.
