Shyam Benegal has decided to make a film on the life of Gautam Buddha. This unnamed film will be produced by mumbai based Beyond Dreams Entertainment and Sri Lanka’s Light of Asia Foundation together.

The whole project is estimated to take atleast of 90 crores rupees. The film will be based on the journey of prince Siddharth to Gautam Buddha. The film will include all the messages of Gautam Buddha’s on each and every subject. So, the concept of the movie is seems to be global as well as interesting enough.

The project is expected to roll in the mid of next year. Shyam Bengal has already made ‘The Making of Mahatma’ and ‘Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose: The Forgotten Hero’ in the past as well. And those two movies were also appreciated by the audience at that time.

This is actually the biggest project Benegal has ever done in his whole carrier. So, there has been some curiosity building among the people about this particular film. Let’s wait and watch how much justice Shyam Benegal can do to this very costly movie.
