Sikandar to be screened at Los Angeles film festival


Remember the small Sikh boy with whom we almost fell in love instantly in the movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Well Parzaan Dastur is no longer a child artist and he will be seen playing the lead role in the movie Sikandar. The movie is all set to be screened at Annual Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles. Piyush Jha who has written and directed the movie is ecstatic.

The movie has been shot in the beautiful locales of Kashmir. Parzaan has a normal life and lives with his uncle and aunt. A normal day in the life of this young boy includes playing football and being bullied by some boys. He also has some liking for the new girl in the area. The role of that young girl will mark the comeback of Ayesha Kapoor who was last seen in the move Black for which she won the Filmfare award for the best supporting actress.

His life undergoes a drastic change when one day he accidentally finds a gun. After then he is exposed to militants, power and violence that he had never seen before. The film intents to display peace and humanity and not violence say that director. The movie will also see performances from the stars like R. Madhavan and Sanjay Suri.

The director also pointed out that it felt good when people associated with Los Angeles film festival noticed their movie and decided to appreciate it by screening the movie at a world stage. The movie has been co produced by Sudhir Mishra and Big Pictures.
