With the entire industry trying to woo the audiences to the multiplexes and trying to make a market for their movies in the overseas market Sohail Khan has gone ahead and made a movie on the Kisaan who forms the backbone of our agricultural industry. Now he came with the idea of this movie while he was shooting for the movie Heroes.

While filming the movie he shot in villages and in farms where he saw the life of the people living over there. All he saw were old people left behind by the children who had settled down into a comfortable life abroad. When he interacted with them, did he come to know that they spoke right from the heart and had true emotions.

He has dedicated this movie to the farmers of the country and it is a tribute to them from him. While they were shooting some of the scenes in the village, they had people who would come up to them and say that this is what happens to them in real life also. They live off just a meagre amount of 2000 per month and mostly if not all of them live way below the poverty line.

They can do away with their entire problem by selling off their farms but they are equivalent to gold mines to them, which they are not ready to part with. He also revealed as to why there is no Salman Khan in the movie. He says that Bhai was not suited to the movie as he is a much larger than life character and a Rockstar. Puneet Sira has directed the movie.
