Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, both of them got their first bollywood break in the same year. Their filmy career started under the big banners like Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Red Chillies Entertainment respectively. Both of them left no stones unturned to launch both of these actresses in the bollywood with a bang. But you can’t change anyone’s destiny. While Deepika’s launching movie “Om Shanti Om” was a super hit, Sonam Kapoor’s acting in “Saawariya” was not liked by the audiences and the film was a big flop.

With Om Shanti Om Deepika got offers from big banner films like “Bachna Ae Haseeno” and now “Chandni Chowk to China”. But in the very beginning of her career Sonam has to struggle really hard. No offers were made to her until Rakeysh Mehra approached her for his film “Dilli 6’. With this her struggle has halted but it will be her acting which will decide her fate in bollywood.

We have heard that Sonam was approached by many after Saawariya but she refused all as her role had very less relevance. In Dilli 6, she is playing a lead role and that too opposite Abhishek Bachchan. Before this Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has directed Rang De Basanti which was a super success. Dilli 6 stars Sonam Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Atul Kulkarni, Divya Dutta, Sharman Joshi, and Om Puri. Tanvi Azmi and Rishi Kapoor are also a part of this movie with the likes of Amitabh Bachchan who is playing the role of Abhishek’s grandfather, and Waheeda Rehman who is playing his grandmother. The movie displays the time when Mehra was growing up in Chandni Chowk.

Now the worth watching is that whether she can match the experience of Abhishek and other co-stars or not.
