16 December was an action thriller movie released on March 22, 2002 under the banner of iDream Productions. The movie was directed by Mani Shankar and produced by Arunima Roy. The main roles in the movie were played by Milind Soman, Danny Denzongpa, Dipannita Sharma and Aditi Govitrikar while the roles of Sushant Singh and Gulshan Grover were equally important. Music of the film was directed by Karthik Raja and the songs were sung by Sadhana Sargam, Sapna Awasthi,  Shaan, Subhiksha, K K and Chitra Sivaraman.

The movie 16 December was a high-tech action thriller involving an intelligence team looking for a gang that operates transactions involving crores of rupees. It was on 16 December, 1971 that India defeated Pakistan in a war and also freed Bangladesh from Pakistan’s rule. Though the then leader of Pakistan surrendered to India but there were many soldiers in its army who were unhappy and angry with the surrender. They wanted to fight against India till their last breath.

All those soldiers who were unhappy with the surrender formed their own group of Jihaadi soldiers to take revenge from India and carry out their terrorists activities against it. Their leader was Dost Khan ( Gulshan Grover ) whose activities were known to Indian officials but were unable to catch him as he was master in changing his appearance. The task to catch him was then assigned to Chief of Revenue Intelligence Vir Vijay singh ( Danny Denzongpa ) and his team of Vikram ( Milind Soman ), Victor ( Sushant Singh ) and Sheeba ( Dipanita Sharma ).
