The social movie 42 Kms is currently under production and will be releasing on January 9, 2009 under the banner of Eastern Union Entertainment. The movie is being directed by Nisha Chainani. The top roles in the movie are enacted by Mandira Bedi, Purab Kohli, Sameer Dattani and Bikram Saluja while the roles of Nausheen Ali Sardar, Nauheed Cyrusi and Mahima Mehta are also important. The movie was also decided to be titled earlier as Marathon.

42 Kms… is a different movie that assembles five ordinary but unique stories in it each requiring the individual to run 42 kms. Everybody today is on a fast track, running for different motives. The movie is journey of five different people who are happy living in their life until one day they are pushed to run. First character of the movie is Sanjana ( Mandira Bedi ) who is a housewife living with her husband and two children. Her life was all fine until one day she realizes that she has forgot her true identity.

The another character is an ambitious guy Ravi Anand ( Bikram Saluja ) who has no time for anything other than his work and success. He has not run away from his responsibilities but this time he has to run 42 kms to prove his investors that they are in safe hands. Son of wealthy farmer, Raju ( Purab Kohli ) is a villager to prove his worth he will have to run in the 42 kms long marathon. Sanjeev ( Sameer Dattani ), a young footballer from Goa will also be participating to regain his lost courage, glory and spirit.
