The action family drama Aadat Se Majboor was released in the year of 1982 under the banner of B R Films. The movie was directed by Ambrish Singal and produced by Mohan Kumar. The key roles in the movie were enacted by Mithun Chakraborty, Rameshwari, Ranjeeta and Madan Puri while Tiwari, Mohan Choti, Dulari, Amrish Puri and Om Shiv Puri were also there in the film. The music of the film was directed by Usha Khanna while the songs were sung by Shailendra Singh, Mahendra Kapoor, Shabbir Kumar, Usha Mangeshkar, Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle.

The movie Aadat Se Majboor was an action film that revolved mostly around a man named Dinanath Shastri ( Madan Puri ) who is a firm Hindu firefighter. The movie takes a turn when one day his son Shankar ( Mithun Chakraborty ) who is also a Hindu brings home a girl Salma ( Rameshwari ) as he felt sorry for his mistake. Dinanath thought that her actual name is Shanti and she is a Hindu so he also dreamt of making her daughter-in-law.

Salma was a nuse to Dinanath after he had met with an accident and also took care of entire household. One day he comes across a blind man named Dr. Varma ( Om Shivpuri ) whom he had known for several years. Dr. Varma’s daughter, Neetu ( Ranjeeta Kaur ) and Shankar were childhood friends. They were very close then that made their parents’ feel that they should marry when they mature. This was not liked by Salma at all but she didn’t tell this to anyone.
