Bollywood movie, Aadmi Sadak ka, written and directed by Devendra Goel was released in the year 1977. the movie starred Shatrughan Sinha and Zaheera in lead roles while Pallavi Joshi, Mumtaz Begum, Dina Pathak, Pinchoo Kapoor, Vikram, Deven Verma, Sujit kumar, David Abraham, Asit Sen and Agha also played significant characters in the film. The melodious hit music of the film was directed by none other than famous music director Ravi while the songs were beautifully crooned by Mohammed Rafi, Asha Bhonsle, Lata Mangeshkar etc.

The movie starts with the family of a retired Commissioner Upendra nath ( Gajanan Jagirdar ), which comprises of his wife, Savitri, two son, Madan ( Sujit Kumar ) and Surendra ( Deven Verma ) who are already married, a college going son, Chandar ( Vikram ) and a school going daughter, Namrata. Chandar completes his graduation and introduces a beautiful girl named Vanadana Tandon ( Zaheera ) as his girlfriend to his family. Vandana is the daughter fo a wealthy businessman Mr. Tandon. The date is fixed by the family for the marraige of Chandar and Vandana. Abdul ( Shatrughan Sinha ) is one of the closest family friend, who delivers the groceries to the houses.

Just before marraige, Upendra dies of the shock of loosing his court case. After his death, there occurs a sudden change in the family members specially Madan and Surendra’s wives. They both takes over the household activities and starts humiliating Savitri and Namrata. Chandar is asked to leave the house. Mr. Tandon also refuse to allow his daughter to get married in that family. Chandar starts working as a waiter under Abdul. Meanwhile, Savitri also paases away and Namrata is also thrown out of the house.
